Glasgow Bus Station serves all major towns and cities in the UK (there's even a sleeper service from London) and is a 10 minute walk to St Enoch Square (if you know where you're going, cut through the rear of John Lewis and the Buchanan Galleries to save a few minutes) http://goo.gl/maps/M60zU
Glasgow is well served by the UK motorway network. The closest parking is at the 24 hour Jamaica Street cark park, which is a 2 minute walk to the Teacher Building. http://goo.gl/maps/f2n46
Glasgow Airport serves over 90 desintations, including many direct to Europe and North America. The First 500 Glasgow Shuttle is a direct bus to Glasgow Central rail station, and runs every 10 minutes during the day.

There are many places to stay in Glasgow, many of which are in the centre of the city and very close to the venue. A few choices below (that we've not necessarily checked out), although the IET and SeeGlasgow have a free booking service via booking.com.
We'll have a social in the city centre straight after the camp, but if you want to make a weekend of it, Glasgow is reknowned for it's vibrant night life. The city centre has some excellent restaurants, bars and clubs, with the main university area in the West End another popular area and easy to get to (by Subway).
